SimplyLedger

Track it,
or book it.

SimplyLedger runs in two modes. Portfolio tracks what you hold, free, and suits individuals. Accounting runs the books for companies, funds and the accountants who serve them.

Who it’s for

Same data, two jobs.

  • Portfolio

    Individuals & retail

See everything you hold, in one place, for free.

    • People holding crypto across several wallets and exchanges
    • Stakers following delegated balances and unclaimed rewards
    • Teams who want to watch the treasury before they book it
  • Accounting

    Companies, funds & accountants

Turn on-chain activity into reconciled, audit-ready books.

    • Companies, funds and DAOs that keep a general ledger
    • Accountants and bookkeepers running books for client entities
    • Finance teams reporting under IFRS, including IAS 38

Side by side

Everything portfolio does, accounting does too.

Accounting adds the ledger on top: rules, journal entries, reconciliation and the reports an auditor asks for.

Upgrading

Start tracking. Book it when you’re ready.

  1. 01

    Connect what you hold

Add wallets, exchanges and bank accounts to a portfolio and watch the balances update.

  2. 02

    Ask for accounting

Request the upgrade from Settings in the app. Support switches the same entity over, so nothing is re-imported.

  3. 03

    Set up the books

The setup checklist walks you through categories, rules, opening balances and QuickBooks.

FAQ

Choosing a
mode.

What changes between the two modes. Not sure which fits?

Talk to us
Can I move from portfolio to accounting later?

Yes. Ask for an upgrade from Settings in the app and support switches the same entity to accounting, so your wallets, token cards and transaction history stay where they are.

Does portfolio mode work out my taxes?

No. Portfolio mode tracks balances and transaction history. Cost basis and realized gains are part of accounting mode, and SimplyLedger does not file tax returns.

Do I need QuickBooks to use accounting mode?

Accounting mode posts journal entries to QuickBooks Online once it is connected. Posting, reconciliation and cost basis also run inside SimplyLedger, so you can set up before you connect.

Can other people see my portfolio?

Only the people you invite. Users are unlimited, and the viewer and guest roles are view-only.

Your crypto. Your books. In sync.
